Quito & Equator Experience

Explore one of the best-preserved historic cities in South America, walking through Quito’s Old Town with its colonial architecture, churches, and plazas before visiting the Middle of the World, where you can stand directly on the equator line. This experience blends history, culture, and a unique geographic landmark that marks the start of your journey.

Santa Cruz Highlands & Wildlife

Venture into the highlands of Santa Cruz, where giant tortoises roam freely in their natural habitat. Walk through lava tunnels formed by ancient eruptions and visit the Twin Craters, surrounded by lush Scalesia forest. The experience ends at El Garrapatero Beach, where white sand, calm waters, and untouched side of the island.
North Seymour Island Experience

Cruise to one of the most wildlife-rich islands in the Galápagos, where you’ll walk among nesting colonies of blue-footed boobies and frigate birds in their natural environment. Continue to Bachas Beach, where white coral sand and coastal lagoons offer time to swim, snorkel, and spot flamingos and other birdlife, combining wildlife and relaxation in one full-day experience.

Tintoreras Islet Wildlife 

Travel by boat to Isabela Island for one of the most unique ecosystems in the Galápagos. Walk along volcanic formations where white-tip reef sharks rest in lava crevices, then snorkel in clear waters alongside sea lions, sea turtles, and fish, with the chance to spot Galápagos penguins. This experience brings you face-to-face with the wildlife that defines the islands.

Trip Overview

This 10-day journey through Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands combines culture, wildlife, and some of the most unique landscapes in the world. 


Begin in Quito, where colonial architecture and history set the tone for the trip, including a visit to the equator. From there, continue to the Galápagos Islands, where you’ll experience two distinct islands—Santa Cruz and Isabela Island—each offering a different perspective of the archipelago. This itinerary is designed to balance guided experiences with time to take in the environment, from snorkeling alongside marine life and exploring volcanic landscapes to relaxing on some of the most beautiful beaches in the region.

DAY ONE
ARRIVAL INTO ECUADOR

Upon arrival into Ecuador, you will be transported via one of our group transfer times to our hotel. Look for our driver in the arrivals hall after collecting your luggage.

After check-in, take the rest of the afternoon at leisure to unwind from the long flight, explore the area around the hotel, or enjoy your first evening. In the evening, we will gather for a Welcome Dinner to officially begin the trip and connect as a group.

DAY TWO

MIDDLE OF THE WORLD


Today we explore Quito.

Ride the cable car to the foothills of Pichincha Volcano for panoramic views of the city and surrounding volcanoes. Continue to the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve for crater views and a traditional drink.

Visit the Middle of the World, where you’ll stand on the equator line, before exploring Quito’s historic center, including Plaza de la Independencia and La Compañía de Jesús.

Age Requirement?

Any woman age 21+ can join our trips, regardless of whether she is traveling solo or with a friend. Most travelers come solo and meet their group on day one.

Roommate Matching?

Yes, we offer roommate matching for anyone who does not have a roommate. If you need a roommate, please choose Double Occupancy at booking. at booking.

Are Flights Included?

International flight costs are not included in our trip prices.
Travelers are responsible for booking their own flights to and from the destination.

Pre-trip Meetups?

No, we do not host pre-trip meetups or trip-specific Facebook groups.
We do offer one Zoom meetings for upcoming trip participants to ask questions and prepare for their experience.

For safety reasons, we do not share hotel details with non–trip participants. Trip participants receive hotel information 4-weeks before the trip. We use 4-star hotels, and 5-star hotels for wellness trips. for wellness trips.
